Logo design proposal with visual identity
Between Past and Present
A logo etched in collective memory for decades, carrying the weight of a sovereign institution. How do you evolve it without touching its essence? That was the single question the entire proposal was built around.
The Challenge
We observe the visual direction ministries have taken in developing their identities, pursuing simplicity, clarity, and conveying ideas with minimal detail, in step with digital developments and modern logo usage. But the Ministry of Justice is a special case; its mark is part of the national visual memory. The challenge was never modernization itself, but modernizing without losing authority and recognition.
The Solution
We know the Ministry of Justice holds immense value and standing, and that its logo has been firmly established in minds for decades. The development therefore had to be smart and well-studied, reflecting the ministry's principles and messages, preserving its authenticity and essence, while keeping pace with modern technical developments. We kept the logo's core principles, elements, and messages intact - then re-expressed them visually in a simpler, more practical form that preserves the mark's essence and authenticity.
